James Hoffman, reigning World Barista Championship, has started an absurd latte art “competition” with which many people have submitted interesting pictures of rosettas and tulips being poured in, well, ears, mouths, guitars and tomatoes among others.I decided I would enter the fray by being ironic. Why not pour latte art into a pitcher you pour latte art with?Apologies to anyone who has done this already, and well, sorry if it’s a bit lame, but the idea came to me while between rushes at Wicked today…This is a 12 oz. pitcher. Pitcher latte art.

Intelligentsia Guatemala El Cuervo.
This is a great, solid Central American, one that's making me rethink my past preference Ethiopia. Smooth, silky body is great for sipping in Hydrogeology (or your class of choice). Milk chocolate and molasses.

Rogue XS 2007 Imperial Stout
This is a real beer. Maybe a super beer, as in a superhero. Huge dark, roasty malts make themselves apparent. It has an alcohol content greater than a lot of Rieslings (11% abv) but you can't tell until you stand up. Grab one of the trademark silkscreened 26 oz ceramic bottles at your local specialty beer merchant. Search hard, because in Canada, you need to know where to look. (Hint: in Vancouver try Brewery Creek on Main; in Calgary you might find it at Willow Park or Kensington Wine Market.)

Dude are you back in Vancouver?
What’s your next shift at Wicked. . . .
Must come and do a review.
Haha, yes, I am in fact back in Vancouver and have been for a good six weeks. I’ve just been too busy to really maintain a blog.
I’ll have a new post detailing my current situation, but might as well put it here too… I work every Saturday and Sunday at Wicked until 2 in the afternoon.
Make sure you introduce yourself!
